The Farnham Theatre Association organised an exhibition of proposals and plans for the Woolmead site in the Brightwells Creative Space from Tuesday September 15, to coincide with the 2026 Heritage Open Days. The exhibition was open to the public throughout the week and was intended culminate in a Public Forum on Saturday September 19 from 11.00 to 13.00, which would have been an opportunity for all stakeholders and interested parties to share their vision and ideas with the public and to answer questions. However, late in the week a message was relayed to us from the landlords of Brightwells requesting that we did not hold the forum there.
Luckily, we were able to find a new venue at very short notice, and the Forum was able to go ahead as planned in the Garden Gallery of the Museum of Farnham. It proved very popular, with over 50 people attending. We are very grateful to the Museum for enabling this to happen. A set on notes on the proceedings has been prepared by our Hon. Secretary, and can be read here.
We invited participation from as many stakeholders as possible, including:
Farnham Estates
West Surrey Unitary Council
Farnham Town Council
Chapter One Developments
Homes England
The Farnham Society
Farnham Theatre Association
